Do they really help with ear pressure?
They sure do. The sucking motion helps promote swallowing, which is key for equalizing pressure during ascent and descent. Combined with magnesium and calming botanicals, it can make a huge difference in those tricky moments.
When should I give my child a lollipop on a plane?
Hand over a melatonin pop as the plane starts to climb (1 mg for any flight, 2 mg for flights of 4+ hours), then a non-melatonin pop as it begins its descent so they land awake and ready to enjoy the trip. Those are the moments cabin pressure changes, and swallowing helps little ears adjust. Our guide on helping kids with ear pressure during takeoff and landing walks through it step by step.
Can I bring lollipops through TSA security?
Yes. TSA allows solid candy in both carry-on and checked bags, so a bag of AIRLINEPOPS™ can go right in your carry-on. Rules can change, so check TSA’s What Can I Bring? page before you fly.
Are AIRLINEPOPS™ safe for toddlers?
Yes! AIRLINEPOPS™ are designed with safety in mind. They’re flat-shaped to reduce choking risk and are sweetened without sugar (so no hyperactivity or crash). We recommend them for children ages 1 and up, always with supervision—especially during takeoff and landing. Our upcoming All Ages bag is made without melatonin, for travelers of every age.
What’s in AIRLINEPOPS™?
Each pop contains a gentle blend of vitamin C, magnesium, fiber, natural flavors, and plant-based extracts like basil and ginger, plus 2 mg melatonin per pop (for children 1 year and older).
Every pop is gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, soy-free, and xylitol-free.
Are they sugar-free?
100%. Airline Pops are sweetened with Isomalt and stevia, which are tooth-friendly and gentle on tummies. There’s no added sugar, no artificial dyes, and no sugar crash.
How many pops should I bring for a flight?
We recommend 2 pops per flight: a melatonin pop for takeoff (1 mg for any flight, 2 mg for flights of 4+ hours) and a non-melatonin pop for landing, so kids arrive awake and ready for the fun. One lollipop takes 30–45 minutes to finish.
How many pops come in a bag?
Every bag holds 7 individually wrapped pops. The Variety Pack includes 1 Apple, 2 Orange, 2 Watermelon and 2 Strawberry. Flying as a family or booking a round trip? The 3-pack and 5-pack bundles save you more.
Why do kids’ ears hurt on airplanes?
As a plane climbs and descends, cabin air pressure changes faster than the small tubes inside a child’s ears can adjust, which can cause that full, painful feeling. Swallowing, yawning and sucking help those tubes open. Learn more in Why Do Kids’ Ears Hurt on Airplanes?
Are AIRLINEPOPS™ only for flights?
Not at all. Families also pack them for road trips and long travel days. Each pop is individually wrapped, so a few fit easily in a diaper bag or purse.
Where are AIRLINEPOPS™ made?
